England’s new era under interim manager Lee Carsley got off to a flying start, with two wins to start their UEFA Nations League campaign.
Carsley’s England were notably very attacking in those victories, but maintained their defensive solidity, keeping consecutive clean sheets for the first time since June last year.
England’s next opponents are Greece, a team they have never lost to (W7, D2). The last meeting ended 4-0 in favour of the Three Lions back in 2006.
Greece come into this match with some confidence, having won three games in a row, including convincing 3-0 and 2-0 victories in their Nations League games against Ireland and Finland.
Manager Ivan Jovanovic will be keen to end their barren run in this fixture, but their record of five defeats in six games against teams higher in the FIFA rankings means a win here is unlikely.
Full-time prediction: England have looked solid under Carsley, if not spectacular. History suggests Greece will have their work cut out anyway. The best bet prediction for this one is a home win.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria welcome Libya to the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo for a crucial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
Nigeria will look to maintain their unbeaten record in the qualification campaign (W1, D1) and take a significant step towards securing their spot in the tournament.
Austin Eguavoen’s men are favorites coming into this one, and for good reason. They have dominated Libya in their recent encounters, winning all four previous meetings by an aggregate score of 9-2. In fact, the Super Eagles are unbeaten at home since losing 1-0 to Guinea-Bissau in Abuja back in 2023. They are unbeaten in Uyo (W5, D2), and will be confident of extending that run.
Libya, on the other hand, arrive for this clash in poor form, with only one win in their last four games, and a defense that has failed to keep a clean sheet in eight games. T
hey lost their opening two games of the AFCON 2025 qualifiers, 1-0 to Cape Verde and 2-1 to Benin Republic. Another defeat here will put them in a precarious situation ahead of the return leg.
Full-time prediction: Nigeria’s dominance on home soil and record in this fixture makes me confident they will pull out a result, even without the injured Victor Osimhen. The likes of Victor Boniface, Ademola Lookman, and others can provide the goods. Our bet prediction is a comfortable win for the Super Eagles.

Italy are one of only three teams in League A of the UEFA Nations League with a 100% winning record, following their 3-1 away victory over France and 2-1 win against Israel. This excellent start to the campaign will undoubtedly fill Luciano Spalletti’s team with confidence ahead of Belgium’s visit.
The Azzurri have been particularly eye-catching in this competition, winning five of their last six games (L1), and their record against Belgium is equally convincing, with five wins in their last six encounters, including a 2-1 victory in the semifinal of the 2021 Nations League.
This dominance, combined with Belgium’s recent struggles, suggests Italy will be firm favourites here. The Red Devils have kept just two clean sheets across their last six games (W2, D1, L3), and the absence of key players Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne will make a tough task even more difficult.
Another thing to consider is Belgium’s recent record against top-ranked opponents. They have not beaten a top ten nation since June 2021. Since Italy are currently ranked #10, the trend suggests that the Azzurri could cause serious problems for Domenico Tedesco’s men.
Full time prediction: Belgium have been disappointing over the past 12 months and will be missing key players. Italy are in much better form, and we believe they can win this one outright.

Israel are having a hard time adapting to life in the to -tier of the UEFA Nations League. After losing to Italy and Belgium in their opening two games, their next game against France means there is no respite for Ran Ben Shimon’s men.
The lack of home advantage makes this even harder, with this contest taking place in Budapest. Overall, 2024 has been a struggle for the “home team”, with just one win all year (L4).
France come into this one missing some key players from their last outing. Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann has retired from international football, while captain and talisman Kylian Mbappe was left out of the squad after a reported injury.
Since winning the 2020/21 edition, France have won just two of their eight UNL matches (D2, L4), with one of those losses coming on matchday one of this year’s edition against Italy.
Deschamps’ men bounced back with a 2-0 win over Belgium and will aim to keep that momentum going.
Full time prediction: France are hardly in sparkling form, and it will be interesting to see what they look like without Mbappe and Griezmann, but they are the better team and have the historical advantage in this fixture (W4, D3).
Marcus Thuram should lead the attack, and he is in flying form with 7 goals in 9 games this season. Get the best odds by backing Les Bleus to win and keep a clean sheet.

Finland welcome Ireland to Helsinki for a crucial UEFA Nations League clash as both nations look to get their tournament back on track after failing to pick up a point or even score a single goal in their opening two fixtures.
Finland boss Markku Kanerva will be keen to avoid a third straight defeat, and his personal record against Ireland (W2) should inspire some confidence.
They will also rely on home form, as both of their defeats in this edition came on the road.
Ireland have also made a disappointing start to their campaign, losing twice at home, and a third defeat here would likely lead to a first-ever relegation into the third tier.
The visitors have never won an away match in this competition (D3, L5), failing to register a goal in four of those games.
Their record of one win in their last eight matches (L5) means that Heimir Hallgrímsson’s men will need a big performance to turn the tide.
Full time prediction: Finland have a 100% record against Ireland and are solid at home, losing just once in 9 Nations League home games (W6, D2, L1). The smart money is on the hosts to avoid defeat and under 2.5 total goals.

Venezuela host reigning world champions Argentina in a crucial 2026 World Cup qualifier. The Vinotinto have never made it to a World Cup, and as they currently occupy the final CONMEBOL qualification spot, fans are starting to dream.
They come into this game on the back of some poor form, failing to win any of their last 4 qualifiers (D3, L1).
However, they showed resilience with a strong defensive display in a 0-0 draw against Uruguay. They must produce something similar to stop an Argentina team they haven’t beaten since 2011 (L5, D2).
Argentina, meanwhile, are expected to welcome back captain Lionel Messi, who missed their 2-1 defeat to Colombia in their last game – their first away defeat in a World Cup qualifier since 2017.
Manager Lionel Scaloni will want his team to bounce back swiftly from that loss, especially with Colombia and Uruguay pushing them for the top spot.
Full-time prediction: Argentina should have more than enough to win this game, and might even do so without conceding, given their impressive defensive record – just seven goals conceded in their last 19 World Cup qualifiers (W14, D3, L2).

Bosnia & Herzegovina began their UNL campaign with a morale-draining 5-2 defeat to the Netherlands. There was some improvement in their second game; a goalless draw with Hungary which brought a welcome end to a seven-match losing streak that saw them concede a whopping 22 goals.
Even playing on home soil has done nothing to help the Dragons as they’ve won just one of their last 5 matches at home (L4).
Their next opponents, Germany, are in an unforgiving mood. Julian Nagelsmann’s men opened their UNL cycle with a 5-0 demolition of Hungary and an entertaining 2-2 draw with the Netherlands.
The visitors are not quite at full strength following the withdrawals of Kai Havertz and Jamal Musiala, but they should still have more than enough to put away a poor Bosnia side.
Full time prediction: Germany have lost just once in their last 11 games (W8, D2), scoring at least 2 goals in 9 of those games. Even without their star attackers, the best bet prediction for this one is a comfortable win for Die Manschaft.

Hungary have started their Nations League campaign in awful fashion. Marco Rossi’s men were thumped 5-0 away from home by Germany in their opener, before an underwhelming 0-0 draw against group minnows Bosnia in Budapest.
That goalless affair was the first time in 11 home games that the hosts have failed to score, although it did preserve their unbeaten home status during that period (W9, D2).
They’ll need to be at their absolute best to extend that run against the Netherlands, having lost their last nine meetings.
The Dutch will be confident they can make it ten in a row after their solid start to this UNL campaign, in which they’ve beaten the Bosnians 5-2 before a thrilling 2-2 draw with Germany.
Ronald Koeman’s men are heavy favourites to get the three points in Hungary, and it’s no surprise, seeing as it’s been more than a year since they went two successive games without a win.
Their record on the road is also solid, with just two defeats in their last 12 away games (W8, D2).
Full time prediction: Hungary should have no answer for the Dutch onslaught coming their way. Our bet of the day is a win for the visitors and over 1.5 goals.

Turkey kicked off their 2024/25 UEFA Nations League campaign with a frustrating 0-0 draw against Wales but bounced back with a 3-1 win over Iceland to move top of Group C4 ahead of matchday three.
They now face Montenegro, seeking their first win in this fixture after four previous meetings (D2, L2).
They have 7 wins in their last 10 home games, but head coach Vincenzo Montella may want to address his team’s inability to keep clean sheets, with just two in their last 13 games.
Montenegro, meanwhile, are seeking their first points in this UNL campaign after successive losses to Iceland (2-0) and Wales (2-1).
These defeats are part of a run of four straight losses – their worst run since gaining footballing independence in 2007.
Their form has been inconsistent in recent international breaks, but one thing is certain: this match is likely to produce a winner. They haven’t drawn any of their last 11 matches, (D5, L6).
Full time prediction: We can’t look past the hosts for this one. They are the much better team, they’ll have the best player on the pitch in Arda Guler and they have a strong record at home. Their shaky defence, however, means Montenegro to score at least one goal could be a bonus.

Chile take on Brazil in a crucial 2026 World Cup qualifier with both nations far off where they would have expected to be at this stage.
Chile are 9th in the CONMEBOL standings and have struggled to find any consistency, winning just once in their first eight qualifiers (D2, L5).
Their winless streak now stands at five games (L3), and their record against Brazil is dismal, having lost the last four meetings, conceding nine goals without scoring any.
However, Brazil’s form hasn’t been impressive either. Head coach Dorival Júnior holds one of the worst win rates (40%) of any Brazil national team coach this century.
Last month’s 1-0 loss in Paraguay highlighted their struggles to beat teams considered underdogs. Despite being favorites in each of their last seven games, they have won just twice (D3, L2).
Full time prediction: Brazil have proven to be unreliable and that loss to Paraguay underlined just how much they’ve struggled this year. Our online betting community should perhaps stay clear of backing them for a straight win.
