The UEFA Champions League Trophy On A Stand

Who is going to win the UEFA champions league is always a recurring question from September to May. The question never really has an answer until the final whistle is blown(Just ask Atletico Madrid). Yet, every year it feels like one team is always mentioned when the question is asked…. One team. Real Madrid. Well this year, with the addition of French superstar Kylian Mbappe, they are also the number one pick for everyone… Almost everyone. After a rocky start and a couple of injury worries, Madrid is back and firing on all cylinders. But are they really the favorites?

Real Madrid to win the Champions league is at 5.00 Odds here now-  https://m.betking.com/sports/match/1001286371/winner

Madrid won the first league of the second round tie against Atletico Madrid by two goals to one and that was without Jode Bellingham who was suspended. The general consensus going into the second leg is that Madrid are going to go through at the expense of Atletico even if both of them might be going blow for blow in the LaLiga race but you wan bet against Madrid for Champions league?

Atletico Madrid to Qualify is at 3.19 Odds here - https://m.betking.com/sports/match/1002089091/atletico-madrid-real-madrid

Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann

However, the favorites for the champions league going by form and bookies’ calculations is FC Barcelona who won the first leg 0-1 away to SL Benfica despite being a man down. Can Benfica pull off a surprise win or not? Let’s not bet on that.

Arsenal (The disappointment of England by the way) are a sure bet to make the quarter finals after beating PSV 1-7 away. It is going to take a huge miracle, one bigger than Istanbul for PSV to make it through.

Speaking of Miracles, how did Liverpool win in Paris? PSG had 10 shots in the first half alone, should we thank angel Alisson or just accept that PSG were not serious? On a day that Mohammed Salah was missing, PSG simply failed to take advantage. Liverpool scored with their first and only shot on target, which says a lot about the siege they had to face on the night.

PSG to qualify is currently at 3.77 Odds here - https://m.betking.com/sports/match/1002085267/liverpool-fc-paris-saint-germain

Bayer Leverkusen, respect your elders? Or are they planning to overturn a 3-0 deficit from the first leg in Munich? It does not help that Star player Florian Wirtz has been ruled out for a while with Injury. Eight points behind Bayern in the Bundesliga, Xabi Alonso’s men have fallen where it matters the most. After their Heroics of last season , one must have expected them to step it up a notch this season but right now all they can hope for is a strong end to the season and try again next year.

After the 1-1 draw in Germany, both Lille and Borussia Dortmund are both 1.88 Odds to qualify for the next round here - https://m.betking.com/sports/match/1002089094/lille-osc-borussia-dortmund

It can definitely go either way.

Club Brugge lost 1-3 to Aston Villa and it is looking really difficult for them to go through. However, the return leg is looking like a match for goals

Over 2.5 goals is currently at 1.64 Odds here -

With Inter Milan taking a 2 goal advantage back to Italy, the onus is on them to finish the job. Therefore a 1+ goal is the in-thing here.

Inter Milan vs Feyenood over 1.5 Odds is at 1.20 Odds here - https://m.betking.com/sports/match/1002085269/inter-feyenoord-rotterdam

For the next round, the safest prediction is Arsenal getting to face Real Madrid (Yes, they will qualify) and be beaten blue, black. Dem no too sabi and honestly, no one is going to miss them.
