Man City vs. Brighton & Hove Albion

Erling Haaland celebrating a goal

At this point in the season, no Manchester City result would surprise me. If the Citizens cruise to a 3-0 win, I won’t blink—and if Brighton pull off another 2-1 upset like they did in November, I wouldn’t be shocked either. City’s 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest last weekend was their 9th league defeat of the season, tying Pep Guardiola’s personal record for most losses in a single campaign. With 10 games left, it’s a safe bet he’ll be breaking that record soon.

Brighton, on the other hand, have bounced back in style after that embarrassing 7-0 drubbing by Nottingham Forest last month. They’ve racked up six straight wins across all competitions, bagging 15 goals and conceding just four. I actually fancy them to grab a win here, which would give them a historic first-ever league double over City. But, the smarter play might be to stick to the goals market—because if nothing else, this game promises lots of goals.

Betting Tips:

Villareal vs. Real Madrid

Vini Jr celebrating a goal

With their spot in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals secured, Real Madrid can now shift focus from UCL fixtures back to LaLiga, where they’ve slipped a bit in recent weeks. Although they’re level on points with league leaders Barcelona, Los Blancos have won just two of their last five league matches, while the Catalans have won six straight league games and still have a game in hand.

Villarreal, meanwhile, have found some form with three wins and a draw in their last five league outings—though they had a surprising loss against relegation-threatened Alaves last weekend. The last time these sides met, Real Madrid walked away with all three points thanks to goals from Federico Valverde and Vinicius Jr. Given Villarreal’s leaky defense—36 goals conceded, the second-most among teams in the top half—it’s hard to see them holding up against Madrid’s lethal attack, which could very well be the difference again.

Betting Tips:

RB Leipzig vs. Dortmund

Dortmund’s season has been nothing short of bizarre. They’re sitting 10th in the Bundesliga, and their chances of playing European football next season are fading fast. With 39 goals conceded—the worst defensive record among the top 10—it’s no surprise they’ve already lost 10 league games. And despite having Serhou Guirassy, one of the UCL top scorers, who has 24 goals and 7 assists in all competitions, things just haven’t clicked. Niko Kovac hasn’t fared much better since taking over Nuri Sahin. He has picked up only six points from his first five Bundesliga games, making it the worst start for a Dortmund manager since Jürgen Röber in 2007.

Yet somehow, in the UCL, they’re thriving. After winning five of their eight group-stage games, they knocked out Sporting CP in the playoffs and Lille in the Round of 16, earning a spot in the quarterfinals. They’re now eyeing a repeat of last season’s run to the Champions League final—but that awful league form is hard to ignore.

RB Leipzig aren’t exactly flying either. In fact, they’re crawling. They’ve won just one of their last nine Bundesliga matches (D6, L2) and are winless in their last four. Their 39 points after 25 matchdays is their joint-lowest tally at this stage of a Bundesliga season. So yeah, it’s a tough one to call. When two struggling teams face off, my go-to move is to stick with the goals market—because with both sides desperate for a win, defending usually takes a back seat.

Betting Tips:

Arsenal vs. Chelsea

Declan Rice in an Arsenal jersey

Arsenal are unbeaten in their last six league meetings with Chelsea—their longest streak since that 19-game run between 1995 and 2005—and honestly, I don’t see that changing this weekend. Despite their well-documented struggles in attack, the Gunners have somehow kept things afloat. Sure, those issues may have cost them in the FA Cup, League Cup, and Premier League, but they’re still standing tall in the Champions League, where a showdown with Real Madrid awaits—but that’s a story for another day.

Arsenal’s recent record against the traditional Top 6 is also impressive—they haven’t lost to any of those sides since April 2023. That streak came under serious pressure last weekend at Old Trafford, where Manchester United threw everything at them, but David Raya simply refused to be beaten in the second half.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have been woeful against the big boys. Their last match against a Top 6 side ended in a 3-1 loss to Manchester City, and they’ve struggled away from home against teams above them. Since the start of the 2021/22 season, they’ve won just three of 19 league games in those situations (D3, L13). With Cole Palmer going cold—no goals or assists in his last 11 appearances—my betting tips all lean towards Arsenal to take care of business again.

Betting Tips:

EFL Cup Final: Liverpool vs. Newcastle

Alexander Isak, Newcastle and Swedish striker, celebrating a goal

After their penalty shoot-out heartbreak against PSG in the Champions League, Liverpool’s treble dreams are officially over—now, it’s all about locking down the double.

Fun fact: The last time Newcastle beat Liverpool in any competition was December 2015. For context, Barack Obama was still in the White House, and the iPhone 7 hadn’t even dropped yet. Since then, these two have faced off 17 times—Liverpool winning 12 and the other five ending in draws. As expected, the Reds are heavy favorites, not just because of form or head-to-head record, but also due to Newcastle’s notable absentees. Arne Slot might have issues at Right Back with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Conor Bradley both sidelined, but Newcastle are missing key pieces too—Lewis Hall (injury), Anthony Gordon (suspension), and a big question mark over Alexander Isak, who hasn’t gone a full 90 minutes since mid-February.

Liverpool should be the hungrier side, eager to bounce back from their UCL exit, but don’t expect Newcastle to roll over. They were runners-up in this competition two seasons ago and are chasing their first major domestic trophy since 1955. Still, if I had to bet [which is the point of this] I’d back Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk to drag Liverpool over the line.

Betting Tips:

Leicester City vs. Man Utd

Bruno Fernandes taking a corner. In the image, he's wearing a red Manchester United flag and standing by the corner flag with the stadium stretching off into the background

Manchester United are coming off what might be their best display under Ruben Amorim, and there’s every reason to think they’ll keep that momentum going. The Red Devils cruised past Real Sociedad with a 4-1 win to secure a Europa League quarter-final spot. Sure, they got two penalties—and new boy Patrick Dorgu even turned down a third, surprised by the ref’s generosity—but United were in control from start to finish.

This will be their fourth clash with the Foxes this season, and the first three all ended in defeat for Leicester. With Ruud van Nistelrooy’s men in freefall, losing 12 of their last 13 league games, it’s tough to see anything other than another win for United.

Ahead of this game, a player worth betting on is Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes. Since Amad Diallo’s season-ending injury, the Portuguese midfielder has cranked up his attacking output—bagging six goals and an assist in his last six games, including a hat-trick against Real Sociedad. In fact, in the previous 3 meetings against the Foxes this season, Bruno scored 3 goals and provided 2 assists. Our bet of the day? Bruno to find the back of the net again, and you’ll find the best odds for that on BetKing.

Betting Tips:

Fulham vs. Tottenham Hotspur

With Spurs getting healthier, it’s back to business for the online betting community—especially in cashing in on the goal market. We got a taste of that in their Europa League second leg against AZ Alkmaar, where they fired off 17 shots and scored three goals. Fulham, however, won’t roll over easily. After losing 14 of 16 league meetings with Spurs (W1, D1), they’ve turned the tide recently, going unbeaten in their last two matchups, including a 3-0 win in this exact fixture last season. Still, with key players back, I’m backing a fit-again Spurs side to get a result here.

Betting Tips:

Atletico Madrid vs. Barcelona

Antoine Griezmann applauding Atletico Madrid fans

Atleti’s Champions League run ended in heartbreak after a controversial call saw Julian Álvarez’s penalty disallowed for a double-kick, handing Real Madrid the win in the Round of 16. The decision has sparked debates across the football world, with UEFA even planning to review the rule. But that’s in the past—now, Diego Simeone’s men need to shift focus back to LaLiga, where a fired-up Barcelona side is coming to town.

This will be the third clash between these two this season, and if the first two meetings are anything to go by, we’re in for a wild ride. In their first LaLiga encounter, Barcelona dominated with 19 shots to Atleti’s five—but in true Simeone fashion, Atleti pulled off a classic smash-and-grab, winning 2-1 thanks to a 96th-minute strike from Alexander Sørloth. Simeone’s celebration? Sprinting down the tunnel like a man who had just committed daylight robbery.

The second showdown was even more chaotic—a Copa del Rey first leg that saw eight goals fly in. Barcelona led 4-2 with six minutes left, only for Atleti to punish their poor defending with two late goals, including another stoppage-time strike from Sørloth in the 93rd minute. With that kind of history, I’m leaning toward another goal-fest—and don’t be surprised if Sørloth makes it three in three against the Catalans.

Betting Tips:

Fiorentina vs. Juventus

Last weekend served up one of the wildest Serie A results of the season—a 4-0 hammering of Juventus by Atalanta in Turin. It was Juve’s first home league loss by a four-goal margin since 1967, and you have to think they’ll be out to make a statement this weekend.

Fiorentina, on the other hand, have been juggling domestic duties with their Europa Conference League campaign, and it’s showing. While they’ve safely made it to the quarterfinals of the Conference League, they’ve managed just one league win in the past month, but a victory here could reignite their push for a European spot. Still, with extra rest and the sting of heavy media criticism, I expect Juventus to come out swinging and set the tone early.

Betting Tips:

PSG vs. Marseille

Ousmane Dembele dribbling the ball

It took eliminating Liverpool for the footballing world to finally wake up to PSG’s incredible form—but hey, better late than never. The Parisians have won 12 of their last 13 games across all competitions and remain unbeaten in Ligue 1. Naturally, this Le Classique promises fireworks, especially since Marseille will back themselves to cause problems, but it’s important to remember PSG has won 4 of their last 5 meetings with their bitter rivals.

The first meeting between these two produced three goals with PSG taking all three points, and I wouldn’t be surprised if this clash follows a similar script. With Ousmane Dembélé (20), Mason Greenwood (15)and Bradley Barcola (13) sitting among the league’s top four goal-scorers, and Joao Neves (8) and Barcola (7) leading the assists chart, the attacking quality on display is undeniable. Anything less than a goal-fest would be a shocker.
