Since hanging up his gloves, Mayweather has raked in millions of dollars in exhibition fights. This weekend, he's back in the ring at Mexico City's Arena CDMX, facing off against John Gotti III, a former MMA fighter and grandson of the notorious mob boss. Their previous encounter ended in chaos, and this is a chance for Mayweather to set the record straight.

**Mayweather vs John Gotti III** 

The online betting community will find fight exciting for so many reasons, not least the fact that both fighters have a strong dislike for the other. The last time Mayweather and Gotti stepped into the ring, in July 2023, things got out of hand. 

The fight itself was one-sided, with Mayweather cruising through most of it, seemingly toying with his opponent. However, the animosity between the two eventually boiled over, sparked by relentless trash talking from both sides. The pro-Gotti crowd added to the tension, and after he charged at Mayweather in the sixth round, the fight was called off. 

Despite the ugly ending, a rematch was announced earlier this year. Now, the question is: can Mayweather once again prove he's head and shoulders above his rival? 

Mayweather retired with a perfect 50-0 record in 2017, and has been taking on exhibition fights since then to keep his skills sharp and the money coming in. 

His boxing career has been truly remarkable. He won titles in five weight classes, faced over 20 world champions, and remained undefeated in 50 fights. 

He was named Fighter of the Decade by the Boxing Writers Association of America for 2010-2019. Perhaps most notably, the 47-year-old became the biggest pay-per-view attraction in boxing history.  

This will be Mayweather's eighth appearance in an exhibition bout, and even at 47, he's still in tremendous shape. The champ usually takes it easy during these fights but he opened the first meeting with Gotti in aggressive fashion, immediately imposing himself. 

He was clearly winning through each round and even began showboating midway through the fight. There is no doubt he will look to settle the score, once and for all. 

John Gotti III is coming into this fight with a 2-0 record, having beaten similarly inexperienced Johnny Adams and Alex Citrowske for an unbeaten start to his professional boxing career.  After the controversy surrounding their first fight, Gotti has a chance to redeem himself against Mayweather. 

Despite only having two pro fights under his belt, Gotti's experience in mixed martial arts should give him a solid foundation to work from. He's a skilled fighter, and if he can manage to land a clean hit, his power could cause some damage.

However, hitting Mayweather with a clean shot is no easy task and our bet prediction is that this could be a long night.

**Prediction:  Floyd Mayweather still has the hand speed and athleticism to keep up with younger fighters. His last close fight was against Logan Paul but it's hard to put that down to anything other than the massive size difference. In his first fight against Gotti, Mayweather was basically dancing circles around him.**

That's why our bet of the day is for the champ to take it by stoppage - it's just hard to see Gotti coming up with a game plan to stop him.

Hovhannisyan and Picasso are both aggressive boxers with plenty of power, making this a likely brawl. Picasso is undefeated, 10 years younger, and fighting at home, giving him a slight edge. Hovhannisyan has been in tough fights before and hasn't fought in almost two years. Back Picasso to win this one for the best odds.
