Another international break is here, which means national teams will take centre stage for the next two weeks, giving you plenty of opportunities to stake and win big with some of the best Football teams.  

Today’s preview focuses on six international games, arming you with crucial information and carefully curated odds for you to bet on.  

  

**Spain vs Scotland**  

Seville’s Estadio de La Cartuja will host the Spain vs Scotland EURO 2024 Group A qualifier and as usual, we offer high odds in this fixture.  

The home side surprisingly find themselves in 2nd place in Group A and will be eager to remedy that with a home win.  Scoring 13 goals in their last two qualifying games and conceding just once means they come into this game as favorites. 

As has come to be the case in recent years, you can expect Spain to line up with a mixture of experience and youth on Thursday with players like Gavi and Lamine Yamal expected to contribute to their present and future. Will that be enough to defeat Scotland? 

Scotland have been the surprise team of the qualification series and have won all five of their qualifying games, including the reverse fixture against Spain in March. Scott McTominay, who popped up with a vital brace to help Manchester United to a comeback win last weekend, has revelled in the tactical freedom offered him by Scotland’s tactics and will be a key figure here. So far, he already has five goals and will be looking to add to that tally against Spain.

**Colombia vs Uruguay**  

Colombia have started their World Cup qualifying journey pretty well with a win and draw, one goal scored, and none conceded thus far.  

Uruguay, on the other hand, have become a typical Marcelo Bielsa team, playing open football, scoring and conceding at will.  

Speaking of managers, Néstor Lorenzo has been key to the revival in Colombia’s fortunes as they have remained unbeaten with seven wins and three draws since his appointment in July 2022. Under him, Colombia have scored in 11 of their last 13 games and although they have only conceded in four of those matches, a game against a team like Uruguay would be the perfect one for them to concede in due to the sheer attacking options the Bielsa-led team has.

**Saudi Arabia vs Nigeria**  

Saudi Arabia and Nigeria have only played each other once before in a friendly game back in 2010 which ended in a goalless draw. In 2018, what should have  

Now they face off in yet another friendly 13 years later. This time, the Saudi Arabian team in a much better place, led by the newly-appointed Roberto Mancini.   

Saudi’s exploits at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and the buzz around their league (the SPL) has boosted the profile of Saudi Arabia in world football. However, we still consider Nigeria as slight favourites to win this because, while the future might be bright for Saudi, the Super Eagles simply have the better players right now. 

That, and Saudi Arabia’s six-game losing streak means Victor Osimhen and team mates are favorites for this match.

**Netherlands vs France**  

On Friday, the Netherlands and France will lock horns for control of Group B in the Euro 2024 qualifiers.  

France have won all five of their games so far and are yet to concede, including the 4-0 walloping they handed Oranje back in March.  For this game, they will be without central defensive trio; William Saliba, Jules Kounde and Dayot Upamecano. 

The Netherlands will be without Arsenal defender, Jurrien Timber, who picked up a long-term injury on his competitive debut for the club, along with Cody Gakpo, Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt. Expect van Dijk to lead the way for the Dutch, but will it be enough against THAT French attack? We don’t think so. 

● Back Les Blues to win/draw 

**Portugal vs Slovakia**  

Six games, six wins, 24 goals scored, and none conceded; Portugal’s record in Group J of Euros qualifiers paints a picture of dominance. Up next for them? Slovakia at home on Friday.  

First off, a Portugal win is the most likely outcome for this match, but research suggests that there may be other betting tips here.  

At 38, Cristiano Ronaldo still continues to exert his will, refusing to fade into the background for younger players to lead the way. And we can see why, even at this reduced state, he’s still a better finisher and player than a large percentage of professional footballers. And this sort of match and defence is what he typically preys on.

**Argentina vs Paraguay**  

Reigning world champions Argentina host Paraguay in the CONMEBOL qualifiers as favorites, which makes sense as they are on a six-game winning streak while the Paraguayans have lost four of their last six games. When you find out that Argentina hasn’t lost in 12 games while Paraguay has failed to score at all in their last two games, the choice becomes even easier.  

However, a bet on goal markets could prove to be even more valuable to the discerning bettor. Historically, this is a low-scoring fixture; goals are often scarce when Argentina plays Paraguay and each of the last six matches between them have produced less than three goals.  

Additionally, three of Argentina’s last five matches have ended in under 2.5 goals while Paraguay has achieved the same in eight of their previous 10. A punt on the unders markets could prove to be profitable. 

Lionel Messi’s inclusion in the squad is a controversial one especially since his club Inter Miami listed him as injured.  

If he does play, betting on the legendary no. 10 is rarely a bad choice.
