**National Basketball Association (NBA):** The NBA is, by no small margin, the best professional basketball league in the United States and the world. 

With superstars like Steph Curry, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Luka Doncic, Joel Embiid, and Giannis Antetokoumpo plying their trade in the league, Nigerian interest in the NBA is also at an all-time high.  

Teams like the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics are NBA royalty with 17 wins each. This decade however, the Golden State Warriors have broken into that conversation and now have seven titles, one more than the Chicago Bulls and two more than Gregg Popovich’s San Antonio Spurs. 

 Since Kevin Durant left the Warriors for the Brooklyn Nets in 2019, the NBA has regained that thrilling air of uncertainty that makes a title challenge such a thrill and this season, it has been no different. 

Since the Golden State Warriors won the title last season, they have been underwhelming this season as other teams like the Boston Celtics, the Nets, the Milwaukee Bucks, the Memphis Grizzlies and the Denver Nuggets have looked like likelier champions. 

Whatever happens, one thing is for sure. This will not be a boring NBA season. 

**Italian Serie A:** While the Serie A used to have a reputation for being the most defensive and tactical league in the world, things have changed somewhat in recent years.  

What has not changed is the devotion Serie A fans have for their favorite teams. Juventus dominated most of the last decade but in recent times, have lost out on the Scudetto title to rivals; AC Milan and Inter Milan.   

This season, Napoli has come to the fore, and are currently favorites to win the Scudetto, barring any spectacular late collapses. 

While the Serie A has dropped off somewhat and is no longer as attractive a destination for the best players, several top-class footballers still play for Italy’s top clubs such as Paul Pogba, Angel di Maria, Dusan Vlahovic, Victor Osimhen, Rafael Leao, Mike Maignan, Marcelo Brozovic, and Paulo Dybala etc. 

**Spanish La Liga**: The two biggest teams in club football, Real Madrid and Barcelona, are both Spanish sides. In the last decade, their rivalry has taken the Spanish La Liga to almost unprecedented heights. Sure, world-class footballers like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Luis Suarez, Gareth Bale, Xabi Alonso, Neymar, and Iker Casillas no longer play in the La Liga but there are still several World-class players active in the division such as; Ballon d’Or winners, Karim Benzema and Luka Modric, Robert Lewandowski, Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Antoine Griezmann.  

Nigerians who enjoy attractive possesion football gravitate to the La Liga for the quality of football on show as well as the intense drama that comes with the El Clasico.  

**German Bundesliga:** The Bundesliga is famed for its fast-paced attacking football. As a matter of fact, most Nigerian fans would say “gengenpressing” when asked for what style of play comes to mind whenever the Bundesliga is being discussed.  

With teams like Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and newcomers, Red Bull Leipzig in the league as well as superstars like Sadio Mane, Jude Bellingham, Joshua Kimmich, Timo Werner, Marco Reus, and Christopher Nkunku, there is plenty to attract neutrals.  

**Quick tip:** If you’re new to sports betting, never bet against Bayern Munich when you bet on the Bundesliga. Additionally, overs are a good market to bet on, as well as “Both team to score” markets.
