**Arsenal vs Porto**  

Arsenal moved back to the top of the EPL table with a 2-1 win against a stubborn Brentford side on Saturday. Now, the Gunners will shift their focus to overturning their 1-0 deficit against Porto in this UEFA Champions League last-16 tie.  

Mikel Arteta’s men are in sparkling form, winning 8 Premier League games in a row, scoring 33 goals, and conceding just 4. The first-leg defeat in Portugal was their only loss in 9 games.  

Ominously for the Gunners, they’ve been eliminated from nine of their previous ten UCL ties in which they’ve lost the first leg. They will feel confident about this tie though, particularly in front of home support where they have been formidable in Europe this season, winning all three group games at the Emirates by an aggregate 12-0 scoreline. 

After a convincing 3-0 victory over Portimonense on Friday night to stay close to leaders Sporting CP, Porto will head into Tuesday’s game a little fresher than Arsenal. Getting a win seems highly unlikely, not just due to Arsenal’s impressive recent performances, but also because Porto have never secured an away victory against an English club (D3, L18). 

They have also been eliminated from their last seven knockout ties against English opposition, which presents a huge psychological hurdle to overcome for a side bidding to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the first time since 2020/21. 

**Key stat -** Arsenal have won every game Kai Havertz has scored in this season (9) 

**Verdict:** Porto are a solid counter-attacking side with a first-leg advantage, but we think that they will find a trip to the Emirates to be too much to handle. Our bet of the day is for Arteta’s men to claim the win, with the red-hot Havertz getting on the scoresheet again.

**Barcelona vs Napoli** 

Barcelona are just 90 minutes away from potentially reaching their first UEFA Champions League quarter-final since 2019/20.  

The Blaugrana split the points with Napoli last time out and will be aiming to win this with a minimum of fuss. With a record of 13 wins from their last 16 home knockout ties in the UEFA Champions League, you would not bet against them getting the job done. 

They head into this tie in good form too, thanks to an eight-game unbeaten run across all competitions (W5, D3) - one which has helped them close the gap on Real Madrid at the top of La Liga to 8 points. The most recent of those results was a 1-0 victory over Mallorca on Friday night, lifting some of the pressure on out-going manager Xavi, who will be hoping to leave the club on a high note.  

Napoli, Tuesday’s opponents, reached the UCL quarter-finals for the first time in their history last season and will be hoping to reach another again. They’ll need to be wary, however.  Spain has not been entirely favorable to the reigning Italian champions, however - they have lost five of their last six European games on Spanish soil. 

Victor Osimhen and co will be quietly confident of advancing after putting together a six-match unbeaten streak across all competitions (W2, D4). If the Nigerian striker is in imperious form, this could be a difficult one for Barcelona. 

**Key stat -** Napoli’s last 6 games have featured the “both teams to score” market. 

**Verdict:** Barcelona are in good form, especially at home, and Napoli just cannot be trusted to go to Spain and get a result. However, we believe the Italians can get a goal, especially through the in-form Victor Osimhen (5 goals in his last 5 games). Our bet prediction is a win for Xavi’s men with goals for both sides.

**Atletico Madrid vs Inter Milan** 

Inter Milan can secure a spot in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals by avoiding defeat against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night. 

Diego Simeone’s men must overturn a 1-0 first-leg deficit after Marko Arnautovic’s late winner in Italy. 

It has been a difficult spell for Atletico, who have won just one of their last five games (L3, D1), including a Copa del Rey exit to Athletic Club, followed by a 2-0 to Cadiz in LaLiga over the weekend. Antoine Griezmann missed the defeat at Cadiz, and question marks remain over his fitness against Inter Milan.  

With Simeone’s men 4th in La Liga, and out of the Spanish Cup, the UCL represents their only chance of silverware, and they will bank on the intense atmosphere at the Wanda Metropolitano to tip the scales in their favour. 

Inter’s fortunes have been far more favorable in recent weeks, and a 1-0 victory against Bologna last weekend made it 13 consecutive wins in all competitions for Simeone Inzaghi’s side. They are the best team in Europe on current form and are the Serie A Champions-in-waiting. 

They will feel confident of returning to the Champions League final on current form, but a manager as experienced as Inzaghi will know that a trip to the Wanda presents significant challenges. Atletico have lost just once in 20 home games, but Inter only need a draw here to secure safe passage. We think that the Nerazzurri will get the desired result to qualify here. 

**Key stat -** Lautaro Martinez has scored 9 goals in his last 11 games for Inter. 

**Verdict:** Atletico are a different animal at the Wanda, and while they may not have the firepower to defeat a rampaging Inter, our football prediction for this one is for the hosts to avoid defeat in a low-scoring affair. The first leg had 6 yellow cards, and with the stakes even higher, we expect that trend to continue.  

● Bet on Inter Milan win or draw 

● Bet on second-half total bookings over 2.5 

**Borussia Dortmund vs PSV**  

Eredivisie leaders PSV travel to Germany to face Borussia Dortmund for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie, after a 1-1 draw in the first leg. The tie is finely poised, and Dortmund will be looking to put their chaotic domestic form behind them and progress to the quarter-finals. 

The first leg was a feisty affair. Donyell Malen’s opener for Dortmund was canceled out by Luuk De Jong, and the Germans missed several good chances to put the game to bed. They will need to be more clinical this time, and will take some confidence from consecutive league wins against Union Berlin and Werder Bremen. 

The two teams have met four times, with Dortmund claiming 2 wins, and the other two matches ending all square. Could the Dutch giants earn their first win over Dortmund here?  

PSV have failed to make it past this stage of the Champions League since 2007, but there is a real chance for them to do so here, thanks to an 8-game unbeaten run, including 10 goals in their last 3 matches. Peter Bosz’s men have also lost just one away game in their last 11 (W8, D2) and a trip to Germany will certainly hold no fears for the runaway Eredivisie leaders. 

**Key stat -** PSV have scored in 13 of their last 14 away games this season. 

**Verdict:** Dortmund are having an inconsistent season, and playing at home hasn’t made things any easier as they have just 2 wins in their last 8 home games.  

This clash has a draw written all over it, with the potential for extra time on the cards. Our bet prediction is a full-time draw, and for PSV to continue their strong scoring streak away from home.
