The Premier League title race looks destined to go down to the wire, and two of the top 3 teams Manchester City and Arsenal lock horns this weekend. Yes, the master; Pep Guardiola vs the student, Mikel Arteta.

**Chelsea vs Burnley** 

With the final international break of the Premier League season concluded, Chelsea's immediate priority shifts to narrowing the gap to the European places. Despite securing a spot in the FA Cup semi-finals, facing Manchester City, their best opportunity to reach Europe next season likely hinges on a top seven finish in the league. 

Their quest to climb up the table begins with the visit of Burnley - a side they haven’t lost to in the last 10 meetings (W8, D2). 

The fact that both of those draws happened at home suggests that Chelsea may have a vulnerability in this fixture. However, they have been very impressive at home recently, winning five of their last six league games at Stamford Bridge.  

Just two weeks ago, avoiding relegation seemed like an impossible mission for Burnley. However, after securing a crucial 2-1 victory against Brentford before the break, coupled with the news of Nottingham Forest's four-point deduction, the Clarets can afford to dream.  

Despite still being five points adrift of safety, manager Vincent Kompany maintains that his team possesses "total belief" in their ability to survive in the top-flight.  

Whether he has any belief they can leave here victorious or not remains to be seen, as Burnley travel on the back of a five-match winless away league run (D1, L4).  

**KEY STAT:** Chelsea have scored at least 2 goals in 12 of their last 14 games at home. 

**VERDICT:** Chelsea have been impressive at home and Burnley’s wretched away record makes a difficult task even harder. Our bet of the day is a comfortable Blues win, and Cole Palmer to add to his 14 goals so far this season.

**Brentford vs Manchester United** 

The international break offered struggling Brentford the chance to pause and reflect, after a six-match winless run (D1, L5) plunged them into the Premier League relegation fight, just 5 points clear of the bottom three. 

Their last EPL match, a 2-1 defeat to Burnley, piled the pressure on boss Thomas Frank, who must be looking nervously over his shoulders.  

An improvement on a measly return of one win from their last six home league matches (D1, L4) would certainly help, and home fixture against Manchester United might be just what the Bees need. They have fond memories of this clash after winning 4-0 at the Gtech Community Stadium last season, their only win in the last ten H2Hs (D1, L8). 

Manchester United have won both meetings since then, including scoring twice in stoppage time to complete a remarkable turnaround in this season’s reverse fixture. Late goals continued to be a theme before the international break, with the Red Devils emerging on the right side of a seven-goal FA Cup thriller against arch-rivals Liverpool, keeping their hunt for silverware alive.   

Erik ten Hag’s men will now look to carry that momentum into their pursuit of a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League but will know that their margin for error is very little in a season riddled with inconsistency. Ten Hag’s men have at least found some up success upfront scoring in 14 consecutive matches. 

**KEY STAT:** Manchester United have conceded 19 away goals this season, with 16 of them coming after half-time. 

**VERDICT:** Brentford need a result here to avoid falling into deeper trouble. Their goalscoring record at home (8-game scoring streak) coupled with United’s penchant for conceding on the road (9 conceded in last 6) means our bet prediction for this one is for both teams to score. 

In the last four games involving the Red Devils, there have been an average of 15.7 corners per game.

**Bayern Munich vs Borussia Dortmund** 

Bundesliga’s version of the Clasico comes to our screens this weekend, as Bayern Munich welcome great rivals Borussia Dortmund for the 135th edition of Der Klassiker (BAYERN: W67, D35, L32).  

This is not the title-decider it has been in recent seasons as neither side look likely to win the Bundesliga, with 11-time consecutive winners Bayern poised to miss out on a 12th straight title, as Bayer Leverkusen hold a commanding 10-point lead at the summit. 

That hasn’t stopped Thomas Tuchel’s men from attempting to chase the league leaders, with a haul of 13 goals across their two league wins prior to the international break sending a message to the rest of the league that they are not dead yet. 

The hosts are similarly ruthless in this particular fixture, with their thumping 4-0 win in the reverse bringing up nine straight Der Klassikers in which they scored 2 or more goals. 

Currently ten points behind their rivals, Dortmund will enter this game with some confidence following a run of four straight wins that has kept them in the top four and alive in the Champions League. 

The gap to fifth-placed Leipzig is just one point, so getting a positive result will likely be necessary to maintain momentum.  

Dortmund have travelled well this season and are currently on a run of just one defeat in 16 league games on the road (W7, D8). 

That run began after a 4-2 defeat here last season, which is one of 11 straight winless games against Bayern (D1, L10) - one more will set a new record of consecutive winless H2Hs. 

**KEY STAT:** Each of the last nine meetings between these two heavyweights have produced over 3.5 total goals, with eight also seeing both teams score.  

**PREDICTION:** Bayern are historically unstoppable in this fixture, and we expect that to continue here, even without the injured Harry Kane. Get value for money by taking advantage of our betting tips and backing a Bayern win, over 3.5 goals and both teams to score.

**Marseille vs Paris Saint-Germain** 

Marseille went into the international break in bad shape, after consecutive away defeats. They lost the second leg of their UEFA Europa League tie 3-1 to Villarreal, before going down 2-0 against Rennes in Ligue 1. The former was of no consequence as Marseille won the tie 5-3 on aggregate, but to follow it up with another defeat on their travels suggests how dependent they’ve become on home form.  

They have now lost 11 games this season, all on the road, while at home they’re inexplicably unbeaten in 19 games across all competitions (W13, D6). That record will now face the sternest of tests as they welcome runaway league-leaders PSG to the Stade Velodrome, a team against whom they’ve lost five of their last six Ligue 1 H2Hs by an aggregate score of 12-1. 

PSG’s dominance in this fixture goes even further, as they have won 23 of the last 29 H2H encounters in all competitions (D4, L2).  

Continuing that trend would see Luis Enrique’s men remain unbeaten this calendar year in all competitions, a claim only England’s Manchester City and Germany’s Bayer Leverkusen can make amongst teams in Europe’s traditional top-five leagues. 

Unlike their hosts, hitting the road only seems to bring the best out of Parisians, who are aiming to cruise to their tenth Ligue 1 title in the last 12 seasons. They have secured more points away (31) than at home (28) this season, the most recent of which was a 6-2 drubbing away at Montpellier. 

**KEY STAT:** Kylian Mbappe has scored 11 goals in his last 10 league games. 

**VERDICT:** PSG are on a run of 24 games unbeaten across all competitions, including 8 wins in their last 10. They are simply the better side and should take all three points on the road.

**Liverpool vs Brighton** 

Just ten Premier League games remain in Jurgen Klopp’s illustrious Liverpool tenure, and he aims to make each one count.  

The Reds relinquished the top spot after a 1-1 draw with fellow title contenders Manchester City in their last league outing. However, they could temporarily climb back to the summit with a win over Brighton just before City hosts Arsenal 24 hours later. 

Klopp’s men progressed emphatically in Europe with an 11-2 aggregate victory over Sparta Prague but their potential trophy haul for the season reduced from a quadruple to a treble after losing a thrilling extra-time encounter 4-3 to rivals Manchester United in the FA Cup prior to the international break.  

This denied Klopp his 300th competitive victory in charge of Liverpool, a milestone he hopes to achieve here, given his side has lost just one of their last 56 home league matches (W42, D13). 

Brighton are the next visitors to Anfield, and they might feel confident about causing an upset as they arrive on the back of consecutive wins. Roberto De Zerbi’s side impressively defeated Italian team Roma 1-0 before the international break, although they lost the tie 4-1 on aggregate.  

They also overcame Nottingham Forest by the same scoreline in their last league outing. However, both of those victories came at home, which is a significant factor considering the Seagulls have lost five of their last six away matches, failing to score in four of those games.  

Despite this, they might fancy their chances of improving their away form when facing Liverpool, a team they have avoided defeat against in the last four head-to-head encounters (W2, D2). 

**KEY STAT:** Mohamed Salah scored 12 of his last 15 goals at Anfield and netted twice in the reverse fixture. 

**VERDICT:** Liverpool’s current form and outstanding record at Anfield makes it impossible to bet against them. Our bet prediction is a high-scoring win for the Reds powered by Salah.

**Manchester City vs Arsenal** 

With the three-horse race for the Premier League title seemingly heading to the wire, this blockbuster clash between Manchester City and Arsenal could be a defining moment. 

Pep Guardiola’s men come into this game a point adrift of the table-topping Gunners despite an active 22-match unbeaten streak in all competitions (W19, D3). 

City missed the chance to reassert their authority over this title race before the international break as they squandered the lead in a 1-1 draw with Liverpool. The business end of the campaign is where they thrive however, and this game being in front of home support suits them, as they’re unbeaten in an astonishing 38 competitive matches at the Etihad (W33, D5) - a sequence that includes two wins against the Gunners. 

The most recent of those was a dominant 4-1 victory that formed part of Arsenal’s demise in last year’s title race. Mikel Arteta’s men will therefore be looking to lay down a marker of the progress they’ve made this time around, and they’re unlikely to head to Manchester with any fear having already beaten City twice this season, with their victory in the reverse fixture ending a 15-match winless H2H run in the Premier League (D2, L13). 

What is more likely to unsettle the travelling fans is the Gunners’ woeful record at the Etihad - current manager Mikel Arteta was still a player for them the last time they won on this ground in January 2015 (D1, L8).  

Away matches have become Arsenal’s specialty in recent weeks however, as they’re the first team in English football history to win three straight league outings on the road by 5+ goals. 

**KEY STAT:** Man City have scored 26 goals in their last 10 home games 

**VERDICT:** City’s incredible home record could push them over the line against the Gunners. However, we are going for both teams to score here, with Arsenal’s offense proving too strong in recent weeks.

**Real Madrid vs Athletic Bilbao** 

Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid are leading the pack in Spain, and they resume domestic action after the international break with an eight-point cushion at the top of La Liga.  

Los Blancos have only suffered two defeats in 41 matches across all competitions, both losses occurring at the Metropolitano against their capital city rivals, Atletico. 

They enter this match on the heels of an impressive 4-2 victory over Osasuna, a match that saw Vinicius Junior continue his impressive form with a brace.  

The hosts have won 3 of the last 5 meetings between these two sides (W3, L1, D1). In front of home support, Real will be favourites, even without the suspended Jude Bellingham. Only a brave man will bet against them extending their unbeaten home run this season. 

Under the guidance of former Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde, Athletic Club has enjoyed a remarkably successful season, with an exciting finale on the horizon after the March international break. The Basque giants have the Copa del Rey final against Real Mallorca at La Cartuja in Seville to look forward to, and potentially Champions League football next season.  

In La Liga, they are vying for a top-four finish and start the weekend sitting a point and a place above Atletico Madrid in the standings. Athletic Club's last outing ended in a 2-0 defeat against Alaves at San Mames, and they will hope for an upset at the Bernabéu. 

**KEY STAT:** Vini Junior has scored 6 goals in his last 4 games for Real Madrid  

**VERDICT:** This one is close to call, but Madrid’s home form has been imperious, and we are backing them to finish the job at home. Our football prediction is for the hosts to edge a narrow win.
