Across Africa, many young athletes grow up with big dreams but face an even bigger hurdle—the lack of access to proper sports infrastructure. From playing on dusty, uneven fields to training with makeshift equipment, grassroots players are often forced to overcome far more than their peers elsewhere.
Their journey to success begins not with opportunity, but with struggle. At KingMakers, we believe this narrative must change.
That’s why, in line with our commitment to empowering communities and championing youth development, KingMakers, in partnership with the Ifako Ijaiye Local Government, has officially launched the KingMakers Ifako Ijaiye Sports Complex. This landmark CSR initiative is a symbol of hope and possibility, designed to serve over 200,000 residents within and around the Ifako Ijaiye community.
The newly commissioned complex is a state-of-the-art facility purpose-built for grassroots sports and recreation. It features:
All components were carefully designed with sustainability and long-term impact at the forefront.
Speaking at the commissioning event, our Managing Director, Gossy Ukanwoke, shared: “This project reflects our belief that sport is a powerful tool for transformation. It unites people, creates opportunities, and inspires hope. At KingMakers, we are committed to backing initiatives that drive real change, and this facility is a shining example of that mission in action.”
This initiative adds to the growing list of ways KingMakers is investing in Nigeria’s sports ecosystem. From organizing the BetKing Wheelchair Basketball Championship in Abeokuta, to sponsoring Ikorodu City FC, and supporting the Kids Sports Charity Initiative, our impact continues to grow.
For us at KingMakers, CSR isn’t a checkbox—it’s a responsibility. A chance to be part of something bigger than ourselves. And this sports complex is a clear reminder that when we invest in people, we invest in progress.
We don’t just talk impact—we build it. One pitch, one player, one dream at a time.
