The 10-round non-title bout in Las Vegas, Nevada, is slated at a catch weight of 163 lbs and is part of the undercard for the Benavidez vs. Andrade clash.   

Charlo’s last fight was in June 2021, where he secured a unanimous decision victory over Juan Macias Montiel to retain his title. On the other hand, Benavidez’s most recent bout was in August, where he stopped Sladan Janjanin in the fifth round.  

Charlo, a former IBF Jr. Middleweight Champion, defends his perfect record of 32-0 with 22 KOs. With a knockout ratio of 68.8%, he has demonstrated significant power, stopping 20 of his last 26 opponents, even though his previous two fights went the distance.  

His opponent, the 31-year-old Benavidez, hailing from Phoenix, Arizona, boasts a record of 28 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw with 19 KOs.
