However, a season-long absence due to an ACL tear has shown that Real Madrid can have an outstanding season without him. With a comfortable 8-point lead in the league, we expect them to be La Liga winners. Also, having lost just three games across all competitions this season, they are also well-positioned to clinch three titles, having already secured the Supercopa de España in January. The current market for goalkeepers is notably quiet, exemplified by David de Gea's year-long unemployment. So, it would be challenging to find a buyer for the Belgian shot-stopper. Nevertheless, if an offer materializes, Real Madrid would not hesitate to entertain it. 


**Luka Modrić and Toni Kroos** 

These two legends of the game are in the same boat so it seems right that we lump them together. Luka Modrić, at 38, and Toni Kroos, at 34, are past their prime years. While both have been exemplary servants for the club, with Modrić clinching 24 titles in white and Kroos securing 20, it might be an opportune moment to bid them farewell. Modrić reportedly earns €380k per week, while Kroos commands a higher figure of around €440k per week. With their contracts set to expire at the end of the season, it's unlikely that the club will opt for renewals.
